In my continuing quest to find summer-friendly fibres to scratch my knitting itch without squeaky stitches and sweaty hands, I am SO excited to be partnering with LanaKnits to explore the joys of Hemp for Knitting!
This box features a very generous 200g of Hempton: a dk weight blend of hemp, cotton and nylon in a beautiful shade of green that will be in season all year round. This yarn is vegan, environmentally friendly, and machine washable, and beautifully spun for wonderful stitch definition.
To make full use of this yarn, the project this month is a table scarf! It serves the multipurpose use of decoration, hot plate, and/or setting for a centrepiece. In addition to being a quick fun knit.
And to round out this box, I reached out to my very favourite Canadian creative space, The Maker Bean, for the perfect accessory: a set of matching birch wood coasters, laser engraved with a classic stockinette design. This is a reprise of the design I used two years ago, which was the extra I’ve received the most positive feedback about.
