When I opened a yarn store with my best friend in November, the first thing I put In it (even before the yarn) was my beloved orange and yellow chairs. They’re very silly looking, but I love them a lot. And now that our yarn store is closed to the public again, I’ve been spending a lot of time sitting in them.
I always knew them as “grandma’s chairs”, but they actually came from my grandma’s grandmother—which means they’ve been down through five generations of knitters. So when I asked Chestnut Yes! Yarns to collaborate on the April box, I was extremely emotional when they presented me with a stunning gold yarn in exactly the same shade as my chair.
This sport weight yarn is 100% Peruvian wool, and absolutely perfect for spring accessories. The pattern is fingerless gloves with an extra long cuff, for full hand coverage during those unpredictably cold spring days.
And for the extra gift, a card from Kimiko and Co to send to a loved one during these extremely difficult times. I’ll be sending mine to my grandma.
