With the weather finally starting to turn cooler, all I want to do is knit myself a cozy nest to curl up in all winter long. So this seems like the perfect time to get started on some throw pillows!
The project this month is a three colour stockinette brioche pillow case knit in the round—but there is no colourwork or brioche experience needed. And the deceptively intricate texture this simple two-stitch pattern creates is shown off beautifully with the three complimentary yarn colours dyed in BC by LanaKnits.
When I first discovered Lana’s Hemp for Knitting, I couldn’t believe all the beautiful projects she had created with *hemp*. I had no idea that this scratchy plant fibre could be turned into such gorgeous yarn! This hemp/cashmere/cotton blend was an absolute dream to work with, and it has already become my favourite pillow to curl up with after a long day.
And in keeping with the theme of plant love, we partnered with Alix from School’s Out Earrings for these entirely adorable plant pins. Each handmade pin features a little potted aloe and desert rose, so you’ll be able to keep a bit of greenery with you through the cold winter months.
This is now available as a kit! Click here to see all the new colour options.
