With the brisk winds of fall in the air, knitting season has officially arrived! So it seemed only appropriate to celebrate the occasion with the queen of all things spooky & autumnal: Amaranth Fibres!
I gave the impossibility vague request of “I want yarn that looks the way fall evenings feel”—and holy heck did Morgan ever nail it! Pairing a deep, rich tonal brown with the bold and vibrant variations of autumn leaves captures the spirit of the season stunningly.
To show off the magic of this custom colour combo, I decided to go bold with the pattern. This double-layered, double-warm hat features a large lace overlaid on a tightly knit lining to highlight the contrast between the colours, stitch size, and pattern in a fascinating 3D effect.
And since no fall evening is complete without a warm mug with a comforting drink, I reached out to my very favourite Canadian creative space, The Maker Bean, for the perfect accessory: a set of matching birch wood coasters, laser engraved with a classic stockinette design.
