This month marks Knit Me’s EIGHTH anniversary!! I am so full of pride when I look back at how we’ve grown over the past eight years, and am so grateful for all the amazing dyers, designers, and makers I’ve been so lucky to work with. But more than anything, I am thankful for the subscribers who have supported me along the way, and helped make my dreams a reality.
To celebrate this wonderful milestone, I partnered with Songbird Yarn & Fibres to feature a special, seasonally-appropriate orange yarn. It’s hard to find the right shade of orange, so I was excited to find this bright and happy yet timeless colourway dyed to look like the cock-of-the-rock bird.
The pattern this month is an adorable basket that I display my yarn in, but could be used for anything. I love the pop of colour it adds to my otherwise neutral living room.
And for the final touch, a handmade silicone jar gripper. As someone who lives alone and has frequent trouble with jars, I love the helping hand it lends to the soups and sauces jars I’m using all autumn long.
