My very favourite thing about summertime is the return of farmers markets, so this month I decided to make a project that is as cute as it is practically: a market bag!
This tote features a simple lace motif framed by a seed stitch border, and topped off with customizable shoulder straps. To give the bag structure, we are using a soft and sturdy dk weight BFL wool from Botanical Fibres. Emma, the dyer, created a custom colourway with plants from her garden in Nova Scotia.
Because no lace pattern is complete without blocking, I’ve included a few samples of my favourite no-rinse wool wash. Soak is a women-owned, women-run company based in Toronto, and has some of the best wool-care products on the market.
Box contains:
- 100g Amaranth Fibre BLF DK yarn
- SOAK sample packs
- Pattern card for Market Tote
- Link to pdf pattern
** note, the Just the Yarn option comes with the skein of yarn , without the pattern or extra, vacuum sealed and sent letter mail.
