Fall/Winter is my favourite season, but holy heck it can get COLD. In order to continue enjoying my evenings outside in the snow, I will ditch my cute scarves and get down to business with the coziest cowl I could come up with.
The yarn is an incredible mix of ultra fine merino, baby alpaca, yak, and mulberry silk, hand dyed by the fibre artists of Illimani Yarn. The bulky weight blend is luxurious, soft, and so, so warm—the perfect choice for this project.
The cowl itself is worked first in the round, then split to work the front and back flat to create a cowl that covers your neck and chest without bunching. It can also be worn upside down with the flat flaps folded over for an extremely warm neck.
