This basket every bit as functional as it is cute, but it also gave me the perfect excuse to rediscover how much I enjoy working with plant fibre. I used a cotton/linen blend, but any sturdy wool or acrylic should work fine as a substitute. The interior lining is optional, but it gives the basket more structure and stability, and I love any excuse to add a pop of colour.
I would recommend this as an intermediate pattern: it requires short rows and picking up stitches, but there are picture and video tutorials included to help you through every step of the way!
