With weather this hot and sticky, I can’t bring myself to work on wearables. So instead, I decided to try my hand at a Japanese knot bag! You may have seen versions of the trendy bag online, and I’m so excited to design my own. This style is known for having one strap longer than the other, which goes over the small strap to close the bag. It fits perfectly on the wrist as a project bag or carryall.
I’m so pleased with how the pattern worked out, but what really makes this bag special is the yarn! This gorgeous tonal was dyed by the creative geniuses at Ancient Arts, on a beautiful blend of superwash merino and nettle. Not only is nettle one of the most sustainable fibres, but it is also incredibly durable with a lovely sheen, making it absolutely perfect for this environmentally and heat friendly project.
